The film came with a runtime of 3 hours and is an action drama thriller film. You can even call it a fictional biopic. I have seen the Hindi dubbed version of the movie. In my opinion, Tiger Nageswara Rao is a decent film worth watching once. If you watch the first half of the movie, you will think that the makers of this movie are going to change Telugu cinema.

Film Story

You will feel that Ravi Teja is going to bring a new turn in his career. In the first half of the movie, the hope that the director instills in the audience, and in the second half of the movie, he slowly reveals that hope to the audience. A film which at one point of time was looking very interesting and engaging, after the end of the movie, it becomes very routine and boring. I would like to say that with very weak VFX, the director has given a very impressive intro scene.

If you look at it, you will see weak VFX everywhere. Whether it is the train, the background, or the water, everything will not look natural to you. But despite that, the way the director has designed the train heist, the background music is so perfect, so good, that it is rarely seen with weak VFX that the thing becomes so engaging visually. And the director has done that work here. And after that, in the first half, there is something that I can only hope for, but cannot trust. That is, in a Telugu film, the lead hero, Ravi Teja, is shown in an out-and-out negative role.

Yes friends, in the first half, the director has left no stone unturned in showing Ravi Teja’s character with a very sharp mind and a very bad character inside. Literally, after a point, I started hating that character. And seeing that thing, I was very happy. And it felt like, yes, from here, this film is happening in the right way, which we had hoped for at one point.

If you look at, the way the director has shown the street performance in the first half, along with that, the way the people there speak, and the way Ravi Teja’s character speaks, the director is successful in building everything here in a very good way. I would also like to give credit to the censor board here. Yes, because in the first half, you will not feel that it is a U.S.-certified film. You will not see a single scene being trimmed. You will not hear any mute anywhere.

The way the director has shot it, the way he wants to show it, the way he has presented it, I mean, the neck is being cut, the hands are being cut, the legs are being cut, the stories are going on, but you will not see the censor board stopping anything anywhere. Look, I was happy to see this, that the director who wants to show it, is getting the freedom to show it.

But at the same time, I was also saddened by the fact that there is discrimination in the censor board. You see, recently, Lokesh Khanderaj’s film, Leo, which has come, look at its censor certificate. In that, there is a scene where a leg is being cut and going somewhere. So, the censor board has cut that particular scene here.

But you will see here, in the Hindi version, in Tiger Nageswara Rao, with the U.S. certificate, you will not see anything being trimmed or muted anywhere. So, look, according to me, every director should get this freedom. Whatever he wants to show, he should get a chance to show it. But why is there discrimination? I don’t understand. Even sometimes, when a film is dubbed in Hindi, in the Telugu-Tamil version, things remain the same.

When it comes to Hindi, the dubbing studio changes the writing itself, so that there is no need to do anything on the censor board. Because they also know that in the future, the censor board will mute or trim it. Now, why did this film get this special treatment? Why did it get it? But whatever it is, the character becomes convincing somewhere.

So, that thing works very well in the first half. And we get to see a very interesting and engaging first half. In the interval, I felt that the film should be over by now. What will we show in the second half? And after that twist, the essence of the film starts to fade away.

Honestly, even after that, the director could have made a good and entertaining film if he could have handled the emotional scenes of the film well. But that thing cannot be handled anywhere. No doubt, while trying, you can see that the director has shown the villain’s side as badly as possible. He has shown the villain’s heart as badly as possible.

He has shown the torture of the people as painful as possible. But that emotion cannot be connected with us anywhere. And the reason for this is that there are some more interesting things happening in the second half. I mean, he has pulled the screenplay so much. And after pulling it, the story becomes so predictable. And the things that we are not able to predict, the twists that we get to see in it, they also look so silly.

Facts and Details

The fun that was coming in the first half, doesn’t come in the second half. See, this is a story of a very famous thief. And we should have seen the rumors of his theft in the film. After showing a great train heist in the opening scene, if you look at it, we don’t see any amazing theft happening anywhere in the film. Whatever mission or whatever work they are doing, everything seems to be happening very easily here. Which again, does not add that thrill or tension in the film. In the film, we have to praise Ravi Teja’s performance. No doubt, performance-wise, and despite a weak second half, this film proves to be a good film from all the recent films of Ravi Teja.

Apart from this, the most impressive thing seen in the film, especially in the Hindi dubbed version, is its Hindi dubbing. At first, if you ignore Murali Sharma’s voice. And if you ignore the Hindi dubbed songs of the movie. So throughout the film, the film never makes you feel that it is a Hindi dubbed film. Ravi Teja’s dubbing is very perfect. The dubbing is amazing. See, I don’t know what the result of this film will be, but I hope that Ravi Teja, will himself dub all his upcoming films because no one can do better dubbing than him.
